Whenever I speak to a group or talk with a new client, they inevitably ask, “Christine, do I need to upgrade to a LinkedIn Premium account to get the most from LinkedIn? Is it worth it?”
There’s a mindset that in order to generate leads and be taken seriously on LinkedIn, you need to have a paid or LinkedIn Premium account.
Do You Need a LinkedIn Premium Account?
I’m here to say you don’t.
Why?
Because if you have an effective plan for marketing yourself and use the right systems at the right times, you can absolutely generate leads and attract your Ideal Clients to you with the basic account.
I know because I do it every day.
And my clients who use my LinkedIn Marketing Power system generate leads every day on LinkedIn.
So if I can do it, and they can do it…you can too!
Here are the basic building blocks you need to maximize LinkedIn with a free account (and stop chasing your Ideal Clients!):
1. Your LinkedIn Profile
Like “all roads lead to Rome,” all LinkedIn roads lead to your profile.
Optimize your headline, summary, position titles and descriptions to engage and compel viewers to learn more.
2. Your LinkedIn Updates
Have a system and a plan to effectively cultivate relationships, provide value, differentiate and promote yourself so you’re seen as an expert, a thought leader, legitimate and credible, and stay top of mind with your Ideal Clients.
3. Your LinkedIn Groups
You want to share your expertise in LinkedIn Groups where your Ideal Clients are and attract them to you.

4. LinkedIn Publishing
Get seen by all 380+ million members of LinkedIn when you access LinkedIn Publishing. Used effectively, this is an extremely powerful tool to position yourself as an expert and increase your visibility exponentially!
