NO LONGER AVAILABLE! I was talking with a private client yesterday and she thought that when she published an article on LinkedIn, that it was automatically shared to her groups.
Unfortunately, LinkedIn is not that marketing friendly yet!
So how do you share your LinkedIn article to your groups and get your message out in a bigger way on LinkedIn…with a simple click of a button?
Share Your LinkedIn Article To Your Groups
Here’s how to share your LinkedIn article to your groups with a click of a button, step-by-step:
1. Publish your LinkedIn Publishing article.
2. At the top or bottom of the published article, find and click the FORWARD ARROW and choose the LinkedIn icon.
3. Uncheck the Share Update box. (You want to share your blog post as an update instead.)
4. Check the Share to Groups box.
5. Add your groups that are relevant to your article.
6. Add the title. TIP: Make it compelling for maximum engagement. For example, ask a question.
BONUS TIP: Vary the title from what you published. Per LinkedIn customer service, when the titles are the same your posts will be flagged to be moderated in Groups by LinkedIn’s algorithm.
7. Add your article or follow up questions for engagement in the detail.
8. Click Share.
BONUS TIP: If you don’t immediately get a confirmation that your article’s been shared, check your activity feed before clicking the Share button again. If you post the same content to a group multiple times your posts will be moderated going forward IN ALL YOUR GROUPS or you’ll be deleted from the group.

Karl, thanks for your comment and feedback…I appreciate it! How is LinkedIn working for you?
Javier says
What if I want to share a post from an article in a news service and want to start a discussion around it in the Group??
Christine Hueber says
Hi Javier, thanks for your comment. Use the LinkedIn sharing icon as well.
Does that help?
Best,
Christine
Brad says
Christine,
Since these instructions don’t work anymore with all of the updates, do you know how to post to multiple groups at once now?
Christine Hueber says
Brad, thanks for your comment and they do work. I used them with a private coaching client yesterday. You have to click ON THE ARTICLE, get inside it, and look for the right curving arrow icon to the right of the author’s name.
Does that help?
Best,
Christine

I have tried today and it is unfortunately not working. Is there any other way to do that?
Christine Hueber says
It worked for me just now to share my article, so not sure what’s happening for you.
You have to use the desktop.
Hilary West says
I couldn’t find the LinkedIn icon at the top or bottom of the published article as indicated in step 2. I don’t know how to add one either. Thanks anyway
Christine Hueber says
Hilary, thanks for your comment. Do you see it on this article? https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/five-ways-position-yourself-thought-leader-linkedin-christine/
It’s the arrow curving to the right icon to the right of my name and picture.
Does that help?

It is a very informative tip.
This is about an article.
How can I do the same for a post?
Christine Hueber says
Thanks for your comment. It’s no longer possible to share a post to your groups. There are hacks you can use to make it happen, though!
Serj says
Can you please describe what hacks are required to make it happen?
Gary Brown says
This was a very helpful article. It is not clear where the linkin sharing icon is but since you mentioned it I found it.
Christine Hueber says
Glad my article helped you, Gary! How are you using LinkedIn?

Interesting. LinkedIn could have been hiccuping. It worked for me just now in Chrome on a PC.
