For many of you it might seem overwhelming, time-consuming and even frustrating to create a powerful LinkedIn Profile.
It doesn’t have to be that way!
In this series, I’m breaking the process down into bite-sized chunks that you can implement in just 5 minutes a day with my LinkedIn Results system.
Your Powerful LinkedIn Profile Summary
Step 3 to create your powerful LinkedIn profile is to optimize your Summary section.
However you have your sections ordered to best present your brand image, this is probably the section you have at the top.
Styles for it vary…from a list like some technical people have…to a list and narrative like I have…to a complete narrative as some prefer as well.
As with anything on your profile you want to make it keyword rich, easily scan-able and most of all: compelling.
BONUS TIP: Include a call-to-action.
After all, the goal of your LinkedIn profile is to lead your viewers to read more and take the next step with you…right?

I use bulleted lists myself as my profile is technically oriented! 😉 Great Article CH! Walls.

Thanks, Walls, and you’re my favorite go-to tech guy!

Great tips. I use a combination of a short two sentence summary (at the top of my summary) and bulleted lists.

Thanks, Greg, and thanks for your comment.
What made you choose that format for your summary?
Best,
Christine

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I am very glad to see such great info being shared freely out there.

Awesome blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Thanks!
