On your LinkedIn profile, one of the sections that has center stage is your LinkedIn profile Summary, in your Background section.
An opportunity to share your value
The Summary section on your profile is highly visible and one of the several places where you get to share your value.
This means you can use your Summary to draw your profile viewer down the page…to position yourself, detail how you’ll benefit your reader, share your credibility and invite them to take the next step with you…and it’s always a work in progress.
BONUS TIP: Be sure to make it compelling AND easily scan-able!
Note: It’s not a cover letter or bio.
Think of your summary as a mini-sale page. This is your opportunity to share how you benefit your audience and invite them to deepen their relationship with you.
I recommend spending some time working on your LinkedIn Profile Summary so you can take advantage of this valuable “real estate.”
