If you value your online safety and privacy, you’ll be glad to know about these three LinkedIn tools that give you choice and control over your account and data.
Here are the details on these LinkedIn tools:
1. Not sure if you remembered to log-out of your LinkedIn account on another computer?
LinkedIn has you covered.
They’ve added a single place to see everywhere you’re signed in to LinkedIn and manage those sessions in your settings.
Go to your settings and click on See where you are logged in to see a complete list of the devices that you are logged into. You also can manage these sessions from this new page. If you see a session that you want to turn off, simply click on the sign out link.
2. Your data on LinkedIn is yours and you should be able to access it.
So LinkedIn tools include the ability to easily export all of your LinkedIn data with one click.
This single download will let you see all the data LinkedIn has stored on your account, including your updates, activity, IP records, searches, and more.
3. Your password is how you safeguard your LinkedIn account, so monitoring it for any changes is critical.
LinkedIn Tools include information in the emails they send when there are security related changes to your account, such as a password change, so you can rest assured your account is secure.
The added information gives you more insight into when and where the account change took place, including the date and time and details on the device the device the changes were made on such as the browser it was running, the Operating System (OS), IP address, and approximate physical location.
You can take a look at your settings today to see these LinkedIn tools. It’s also a good opportunity to remind yourself of all your settings and make sure they are right for how you are using LinkedIn now.

Hi Christine, first off, I can’t believe we’re not in each other’s LinkedIn networks – how did that happen?
Next, regarding downloading my LinkedIn archive, which I just submitted the request. When I download all my contacts, there are only a handful of fields of data I am given. I’ve never gotten a reason from LinkedIn support as to why I can’t get the entire data set of my contacts, except to have them tell me it’s a know issue and they are working on it.
With the archive, I assume this will be the same problem, correct?
And maybe you can tell me – why CAN’T I download the full contents of my contacts?
Thanks and have a very groovy weekend- Nelson Davis

Hi Nelson,
Thanks for your comment and your LinkedIn invitation to connect.
When you download your contacts, only 5 fields appear currently. Customer service can give you an answer as to why only those 5.
What did you see when you downloaded the archive?
Have a great week ahead.
Best,
Christine
