You’re not alone if you’re frustrated and overwhelmed by LinkedIn, trust me.
Here’s a quick overview of what you’ll find on the site:
- * The top page tabs are Home, Profile, Connections, Jobs, and Interests.
- * The Search bar is at the center top of the site and is for the entire site.
- * Messages, Notifications and Add Connections are all toward the right where you see the icons.
- * Settings is in the far right and is a drop down menu under your picture.
Diving deeper into the tabs, you’ll find:
- * Company Page, Pulse and Groups are under the Interests tab.
- * When you hover over your picture on the right, an Account & Settings menu will appear that includes Sign Out, Upgrade, Language, Privacy & Settings, Help Center, Advertising and Job Posting.

The changes have been on and off since probably January. I’ve been using the new layout since then. The number of views, messages and interactions have significantly increased. It’s much easier to connect and for people to find your information. The ability to add pictures and video is excellent. Much easier to read profiles too.

Thanks for your comment, Jon, and this is beyond the changes since January…if you read my post completely.
Best,
Christine

Hi Christine – My page hasn’t seen those most recent changes you mention, yet. It seems LinkedIn is rolling this out slowly like they rolled out the new look earlier this year.
Christine Hueber says
Thanks for your comment, Alice, and the changes will be rolled out in the next few weeks.

Hmm… I didn’t get the changes yet. Bummer. I’m sure it’ll take a while to roll them out to everyone. Nice article Christine!
Christine Hueber says
Steve, the latest news is that they will roll out over the next few weeks…so you have advance notice!
Best,
Christine
