This is what a new client from my LinkedIn talk last week wanted to know.
He’s talked with other well-known LinkedIn experts, but still isn’t getting the speaking engagements and client results he wants.
A former litigation attorney, he now works with other attorneys and partners with his clients in his executive life coaching and speaking practice.
Below is what I recommended for a fast start, since it was our first coaching session and he already has a great headshot for his LinkedIn Profile.
NOTE: If you want LinkedIn to work better for you too, you’ll want to be sure you’re following these quick start recommendations for your LinkedIn Profile as well!
1. LinkedIn Profile Headline
Use your keywords and have a compelling call to action to get found and get leads!
IMPORTANT: This is especially critical if you want to rank higher in LinkedIn Search!
For my new client, it’s going to be easy…he already has a gift offer on his website…so it’s just a matter of fine-tuning what he already has to drive traffic and leads from LinkedIn.
2. Summary
Again, if you have a next step gift and bio on your website, completing your summary can be as easy as cutting and pasting, fine-tuning and then watching the appointments book themselves and your community grow!
BONUS TIP: Both the headline and summary are restricted in the number of characters you can use, so choose your words for maximum effectiveness!
