How do you effectively leverage LinkedIn recommendations?
Here are my three favorite ways to make the most of my LinkedIn recommendations:
1. Leverage LinkedIn recommendations on your website.
Here’s how: take a screenshot of the recommendation after you’ve accepted it in your LinkedIn Messages and use a program like Paint, PhotoShop (or the Mac equivalent) to save it. If you’re advanced, you can crop it there. Otherwise, upload it to a site like PicMonkey.com and then save it to your computer. Finally, upload to your website home, product, about, etc., pages for maximum effectiveness.

2. Leverage LinkedIn recommendations by posting them as social media updates.
Use the cropped image and upload it to your preferred site or social media management tool. I like HootSuite the best for posting everywhere with a click of a button at the time I choose. You can also use Buffer, Edgar, SocialOomph, etc.
Taking a cue from our fearless leader, write about how honored you are to have received it. If you’re posting to Twitter, remember to leave 20 characters so it can be easily retweeted and go viral!
3. Leverage LinkedIn recommendations by sending them as follow-up to leads.
Here’s how: attach the cropped LinkedIn recommendation to your email, LinkedIn message, comment, etc., with a relevant note about how you just received it and wanted to make sure they saw it.
SALES TIP: Ask an open-ended, strategic question to move the relationship forward to the next step.
BONUS: Add them to your email signature. This is an extremely powerful tactic that makes every email you send a mini-advertisement, without being pushy, sales-y or annoying. And further selling you and your offerings.
