If you’re serious about attracting your Ideal Clients on LinkedIn, you’ll want to be sure to harness the power of LinkedIn recommendations.
Why?
There are five very powerful reasons.

LinkedIn recommendations are powerful because:
1. They demonstrate that you are who you say you are. You are legitimate and credible. This makes it easier for your Ideal Clients to take the next step with you.
2. Your profile will rank higher in LinkedIn search the more recommendations you have.
3. LinkedIn recommendations are social proof that’s direct from your client’s mouth, in their words.
For example, I have 97 recommendations. Do you think that’s more impressive than having just one, or worse yet…none?
4. LinkedIn recommendations are a built-in list of references for potential Ideal Clients to contact or just review to get a sense of the value you offer.
5. Since LinkedIn recommendations are public, you can also use them for sales letter testimonials.
Note: You can also now reorder your LinkedIn recommendations within a position.
BONUS TIP: Move your best LinkedIn recommendations, from your Ideal Clients, to the top of the list for each position so you easily attract more of your Ideal Clients.
Wouldn’t it be more telling for an Ideal Client to read how you helped an existing client get the results they wanted instead of “John is a great coach”? Always remember that the most compelling recommendations tell a story rather than provide empty statements.
If you’re the one looking to receive LinkedIn recommendations, always begin with your Ideal Clients…those you’d love to have 100 more of.
BONUS TIP: When you get positive feedback about the results someone’s experienced from working with you, ask if you can send them a LinkedIn recommendation request. I make it easy and use the template that’s included in my LinkedIn Marketing Power program.

LinkedIn recommendations give a better idea of what you’re like to work with, what results your clients can expect, and make it easier for opportunities to find you.
