My new client has a Information Technology business and wants to improve her marketing to make it authentically more effective so her Ideal Clients (other businesses) get to know, like and trust her.
A key part of what we’ll work on is how she can easily update her Social Media channels or accounts (LinkedIn, FaceBook, Twitter, Google Plus, etc.) in just 5 minutes a day to get her message out here and be focused with her Social Media updates so she doesn’t feel like she’s “all over the board.”

1. Social Media
Consistently share an effective mix of content and promotion that differentiates you, positions you as a thought leader and expert, promotes your services and inspires your audience.

2. LinkedIn Profile
Drive traffic to your website from your LinkedIn Profile and use LinkedIn Publishing to share your website content (more about them in a moment) on your profile.
This will increase your visibility and position yourself as an expert, thought leader and go-to resource.
3. LinkedIn Groups
Consistently share your expertise in LinkedIn Groups where your Ideal Clients are to position yourself as a thought leader and expert in your field.
BONUS TIP: Drive traffic to your website from Groups.
4. Email Marketing
Regular email marketing that strikes the right balance of value-rich content and promotion is key for keeping you top of mind with your community.
BONUS TIP: Integrate your website content to effectively connect your marketing dots and drive traffic to your website with your emails.
5. Website
Your website is the basis for all your marketing and is the source for the value-rich content you repurpose wherever you can…saving you time and energy and enabling you to be consistent and cohesive in your marketing message because you connect your marketing dots.
BONUS TIP: If you’re just getting started with your business and don’t yet have a website, use your LinkedIn Profile for now.
6. LinkedIn Publishing
A new offering from LinkedIn, this amazing tool allows you to share your expertise with all LinkedIn members.
LinkedIn Publishing is featured near the top of your LinkedIn Profile, appears in your contacts’ activity feeds and is visible to the over 300 million LinkedIn members.
7. LinkedIn Company Page
This is another avenue to increase your visibility and position yourself as a thought leader and expert.
BONUS TIP: Repurpose your website content on your company page and post your Social Media updates here. This gives you a consistent online presence and works to connect your marketing dots.
8. Marketing Content
Listen to the language your Ideal Clients use when talking about their problem that you solve and the transformation you offer and incorporate it to attract more clients like them.
BONUS TIP: Repurpose your most engaging marketing content whenever and wherever you can.
9. Google Analytics
Set up a goal for whatever the next step is that you want your Ideal Clients to take and focus your marketing efforts where the majority referrals originate.
