3 Tips If You’re Overwhelmed By Your Marketing

I was talking with a client recently who said there was so much to learn getting started with marketing a business…so many little things. 

Do you ever feel that way?

If yes, now you know you’re not alone!

Between learning to post to your blog, using HootSuite, LinkedIn Publishing, Twitter and Social Media updates…just to name a few…it’s easy to feel like you have a lot of spinning plates in the air and feel like you don’t have a grip on what you’re doing.

You might even be tempted to ignore it…but you know you should be doing it to grow your business…

It doesn’t have to be that way, trust me!

If any of this resonates with you, you’ll love my tips for when you’re feeling overwhelmed by your marketing:

1. Have a system. This will make all the difference for you! When you know exactly what to do, and when to do it…you’ll know how and where to direct your attention for the best results.

2. Focus when you’re most productive. For some people, it’s first thing in the morning…for others it’s another time. It will be easier, faster and more fun to do the work of implementing your system when you’re at your peak productive time.

3. Take baby steps. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Implement your marketing system step-by-step. Set a timer for a block of time (I find 55 minutes working with a 5 minute break is optimum) and eliminate any distractions to make the fastest progress in getting your marketing machine up and running.

Don’t forget to celebrate your progress too!

As you get more practice with your system, it will become like driving a car for you….something you now do without thinking and when you began it was completely overwhelming!

And…as you start seeing the results from your consistent efforts, you’ll be pleased with the increased traffic to your website, your email list growth and the new leads who take the next step with you. 

And excited to learn and absorb more!
